Events Are the Garnish, Not the Meal
It is easy to read a list of competitive features as a substantial reward stream. For a realistic account it is not, and the reason is timing.
This also means missing an event costs you very little. The thing that genuinely costs you is missing daily rewards, which are not banked and cannot be recovered.
The daily free reward is available from level 5 and pays every single day. Competitions arrive at level 20 and pay on their own schedule, which is not published. Over any period you can plan around, the recurring daily source dominates — that is arithmetic rather than opinion.
So the sensible mental model is that events add variety and occasional upside to an account that is already sustained by its daily routine. They do not sustain one themselves, and an account built around chasing them is an account that will run dry.
The Coin System
Gold Coins are the play currency — no value away from the platform, refilled free through daily routes. Sweeps Coins are the promotional currency connected to prize redemption, never purchasable at any price.
Which of the two competitions award, and in what proportion, is not published. We are not going to guess, because the difference between an event paying GC and one paying SC is the difference between entertainment and progress toward a prize.

Entry: no advantage. Competitions cannot be gated behind payment under the sweepstakes model, so a free player and a paying player start on the same terms. There is no paid tier and no entry fee.
